In these paintings, I continue to develop geometric compositions based on the path of my eyes as I view and experience nature. The designs and color palettes come from hikes through the wilderness of Arizona during monsoon season. I’ve been reading Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” while making these paintings. His exuberant celebration of life-lived reminds me that the capacity to place value on one’s being and one’s expression is the very cornerstone of revolution.
