LEOPOLD’S BARABOO

Work brought me to central Wisconsin in fall of 2023, and I made a pilgrimage to the cabin of Aldo Leopold, a site of pioneering research into ecology and ethics. I made these paintings with laser eyetracking drawings of the path of my eyes as I looked into the forests surrounding the property. I exaggerated the saturation of my palette to honor the perceptual assault of fall color in Wisconsin.
